First Lego League, or FLL, is an international competition in which teams design,
create, and program a robot using
LEGO Spike to score points in the event challenge and create innovative solutions to a
problem, all while being
guided by the FLL Core Values. These three elements - the Robot Game, Project, and FLL
Core Values - make up the
yearly Challenge that focuses on a different real-world problem related to the sciences.
Our FLL team will participate in one or more tournaments. FLL is also a very good
background experience for those that want to participate in the FIRST Robotics Challenge
(FRC) that is typically ran in high schools, or grades 9-12.
Anyone within the age requirements (ages 10 to 16) can join our team! There is no
programming,
designing, or other requirement.
Students will be taught by award-winning Senseis that come from backgrounds of Computer
Science, Mechanical
Engineering, and Design Arts. These Senseis are alumni of various local First Robotics
Competition (FRC) teams
including but not limited to Team 1403 Cougar Robotics, TEST Team 303, and Team
75 Robo Raiders.
